The customer service before the tour is likewise great, booking online was a breeze and the interaction with the SeavisTours staff went really smooth.
We went on the whale watching tour from Miches. The transfer takes you through the countyside over the mountains to the little village of Miches. During the fare of in about 2 hours the guide provides great details about the life of the local people. SeavisTours has a whale center in Miches and we did get breakfast before boarding the whale boat. Almost directly when we left the bay we saw a few whales. We followed them for a while and went to search for some others. In total we saw about 20 different ones. On arrival back in the center they served a delicious lunch. It was a mix between Dominican and Swiss dishes and we never had such a good meal. On the way back to the resort we stopped at several interesting sights, The guide was great fun and told interesting facts. All and all it was a great tour and it was wonderful to see the whales at close range. And for what they offered the excursion was inexpensive, we paid only us$135.
The whole day was effectively organized. They offer the tour in various languages, so be sure you choose the proper day. Most excursions to the island are with a catamaran, I'm happy we chose the speedboat tour, we saw much more. The day is very complete: drinks, lunch and snacks are included, If you travel from Punta Cana you have to get up early, but don't worry. It is more than worth it.
